My First Job

 2nd December 2020

Since my dad always scolded me to not use phones on the dining table. I had kept my phone on charge. After having my lunch I came to my room to check my phone, I saw a lot of messages. Thought another quarrel must have broken out in our class group. I checked the chats, there were around 18 messages in the College Placements group, which meant either someone's luck was in favour and they got placed or another sales company had sent their job description and website link for placements.

Well, I saw that Cognizant had sent their list of placed students. My heartbeat rose gradually.

All I had to say was "Thanks for your compliment."

Had I known what was to follow, I would have hugged him saying, "Thanks for your compliment"

15th May 2021
My Internship at Cognizant is closing in on the final project. All teams are busy in the planning phase of their topics and scrum planning dividing tasks and user stories among teammates. Our scrum master had divided the teams based on two students with a Computer science background and three students with a non-CS background.
But to our misfortune, we elected the group leader who left the internship midway, leaving us with a topic he was confident in and we were not so sure about. Of course, at the time of topic selection, we had brainstormed through ideas but he convinced us on that topic, and we accepted to the point that we will get to learn something new, something different from the other teams.
Now, what we were left with was something new, something different from other teams not to learn from it, but to anyhow complete the project. We took up the challenge and motivated each other that we will do as much as we can and let our Scrum master decide our fate. But for now, we will give our best.
We sat down for hours making the user stories, seeing through codes and building the framework on whose basis we will execute the code that we add individually.
Approximately, 25% into the final project, in our daily meetings of the whole cohort, the scrum master took notes our every team's progress. Our team no. was No.5 and we were waiting patiently for our turn.
Team No.3's progress was seriously lagging, and our scrum master was scolding them for their slow progress. The teammates started to argue with him, and although I could understand some of their points were legitimate, we kept quiet and let them discuss it.
But I became impatient when he dragged our team into the quarrel saying, other teams like No.5, and No.2 are not even doing the project themselves. Well, the group lead of team No.2 didn't take it very well and jumped into the chaos being rude to the guy. I quickly messaged in my team group to keep quiet and let me handle the situation.
i accept in my school days, I was always the short-tempered guy, but with passing years I had learned to control my anger and channel it in a more efficient way.

Waqt Waqt Ki Baatein

I Have A Dream

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be engulfed, every hill shall be exalted and every mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plains and the crooked places will be made straight and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together. This is our hope.

-Martin Luther King Jr.

I have a dream that one day this pandemic will end and we shall breathe freely. One doesn't realise the intricate things the pandemic has affected. Cases are rising again, people are dying, Covid Warriors are fighting on. But, realise this, we have forgotten to breathe freely, we have lost the social skills, we have slowed down towards our goals and the world has also slowed down on its technological advancements and revolution or evolution whatever it keeps doing without bothering much.

There are good things and bad things, just like two sides of a coin. This pandemic has also affected us positively. Am I saying it right? Doesn't matter, now people express opinions without thinking. Pass on judgements without introspecting and make decisions without consulting. I wonder what these big consulting firms are even doing. They could at least give me consulting as to should I apply butter on my bread or cheese.

We

I was walking across the street,

And I saw you by the banyan tree.

Your eyes glittery looking at me,
With hair locks like that banyan tree.
I thought to wave back at thee,
And luckily was meant to be.
For the high tide was now behind me,
For now I was someone probably better than me.

I was not sad, just famished of your touch
All I wanted was to keep you clutched.
I hugged you like I always wanted to,
For now I held you hand so did you.
Wasn't that all too wonderful for me and you?
It's been 10 years since I last saw you!

I desire to catch a glimse of you,
Just one more time to be with you.

This was all too wonderful for me and you.
Its been 6 months of WE instead of me and you.
